Rates

Projects can be quoted by project or billed hourly. Below are some standard packages along with my hourly rates.

 
Consultation/Estimates: complimentary

I only charge for work done. On or off-site consultations to discuss your needs are always complimentary*. I never charge for estimates.

 
Standard Wordpress Installation/Design $400.00/site
  • Basic installation of wordpress on hosting server provided by client*
  • A standard Wordpress theme incorporating the logo,slogan and color scheme of client. Does not include Flash elements**
  • Creation of up to 5 user accounts
  • 4 week basic maintenance
  • 2 hour training of staff
 
Standard Drupal Installation/Design $600.00/site
  • Basic installation of current Drupal release on hosting server provided by client*
  • A standard drupal theme incorporating the logo,slogan and color scheme of client. Does not include Flash elements**
  • Included add on modules: CCK, Views, WYSIWYG, FCKeditor
  • Creation of up to 5 user accounts
  • 4 week basic maintenance
  • 2 hour training of staff

Customized Themes $500/theme

Stock themes are not for everyone. It is cost effective but in order to truly have a site uniquely yours, it needs a theme especially made for you!

Standard: $90/hour
Billed in 15 minute blocks with a minimum of 1 hour per project
 
Onsite: $125/hour
Billed in 30 minute blocks with a minimum of 2 hours
Typically, development work will not be onsite. Situations do come up where it can not be avoided such as installation of site onto onsite servers, in person training, etc. I travel within a 60 mile radius of my mailing address free of charge. There is a $50.00 fee for travel greater than 60 miles. Clients are responsible for  airfare charges if location is not within a 300 mile radius. Hotel accomodations are required if travel plus on-site is more than 12 hours per trip.

Maintenance Retainer $1,000.00/year

I recognize that small businesses may lack the technical knowledge to do routine maintenance or lack the funds to hire a full time IT person. A yearly maintentance contract can be signed with me if I created your site. Included in the contract is:

  • 2 hours a month of standard service normally charged at $90.00/hour. Time expires monthly if unused. This includes any updates to site or phone support provided to client.
  • Monitoring of hosting service to make sure your site is up and move site to new hosting if required due to lack in uptime.
  • Monitor and update CMS (if aplicable) to the current versions for the utmost security.

Since maintanence contracts do have the potential of taking up a good bit of time. I only sign a limited number per year.


* Hosting server should already be configured to support the CMS the client has selected. If client does not have hosting selected, I have several for recommended services. I am not affliated with them in any way and they are just recommendations. I am not accountable for services or lack of services provided by hosting service unless I am on retained on a maintenance contract.

**Every effort is made to understand what the client needs and revise the look and feel as needed. However excessive request for changes and tweaking will incur additional cost.
